Shopping with a father

Journal Entry: Wed Jul 2, 2008, 3:03 AM
So my Mom decided to go camping with my brother somewhere near Dallas...for a week!! Thanks Mom...as a result of this I was left with my Dad; yeah my sister is here but who cares...
The other day my Dad and I went to exchange a couple of bar stools at Wal-mart and somehow ended up in the deodorant aisle afterwards. My Dad had difficulty choosing a stick that had "his" favorite sent so we were there for a good while...
Dad: Hay what do those say?
Me: Can't you read?
Dad: Yes, I'm just testing your sight, never know when it will go bad...
Me: You got "cool shower" and "Diamond Fresh" which one do you want?
Dad: ..Damn... I just want a deodorant stick not for someone to smell me three weeks away!!
Me:...?? (I couldn't help but laugh at him)
I swear the one liners this man comes up with just crack me up, gotta love 'em (:
For today we plan on going to the movies but with no clue as to what we will see. The beauty of it all is that we plan on seeing two or three movies but only paying for one XD

This summer can only get better

Journal Entry: Sat Jun 28, 2008, 11:45 PM
Get Smart, as I've stated before, was the perfect film to kick start the summer for me and to continue this blissful delight was Wall-E.
I have to say PIXAR has out done itself on all of its' past movies with this film; no doubt it will be nominated for awards in the near future.
The concept I loved most about the film was that it was through robotic intervention (not human) that made the story empowering. Aside from Wall-E being my favorite character M-O had to be the best XD FOREIGN CONTAMINANT!!!
Also to continue this summer's greatness, yesterday Diablo-III was finally unveiled and HOLYSHIZ!! I have never been one to play much of any RPG but HOLYSHIZ! If it's not the kick ass smacking, slashing, destructive action it's the eye candy concept art that I'm drooling over. Man my hands are itching to play the game...HURRY UP AND GET REALESED, you too Batman...
So yes, one more week of fun filled summer goodness :D

Vacation

Journal Entry: Wed Jun 25, 2008, 9:55 PM
So far being home has been very fun and relaxing. I really should be catching up with my sketching and reading reference books but I'll save that till next week. (: yes lazy me. I want to go to the beach and scope out some of the museums in Corpus before I start to do any artsy stuff; hopefully I won't forget to bring my camera with me when I go.

OH YEAH!!! I saw Get Smart the other day and I couldn't help but laugh and laugh and laugh some more, what the hell I laughed till I cried. I mean it had its serious moments but over all it was a good gut buster; Steve Carell is awesome XD Also I saw The Happening two days ago and I have to say I really did like it.(Screw you Rotten Tomatoes, the film deserves more then just a 19% rating) What bugged me while watching the film was the "kids" behind me that wouldn't shutup (probably high school sophomores or something) they just wouldn't stop making fun of the film and take it for what it was. In truth the film had a message and a brilliant one at that, the only thing I did not understand through out the film was why the sound mikes were visible on multiple shots. At times the mikes were probably no more then a foot a way from the actor's heads. Seriously if anyone knows as to why Shyamalan does this I would love to know O.O On another note I so did not know he was to write, produce, and direct a live action movie for Avatar. Not that I mind or dread it,its just that he's the last person I would see to do a film for that show...

Anywho, I'm looking forward to seeing Wanted, HellboyII, Wall-E, and if only the Dark Knight would hurry up start showing.
So yes it's good to be home. I can be myself and be able to talk about intellectual subjects with other people. No offense to my new friends but I can never talk about politics or anything of a serious manner. Plus no one ever wants to go to museums or just stroll around Downtown Dallas, o well at least I know I can do that here at home.
Well I'm off to bed and to start another wonderful, beautiful day.

IT'S SUMMER!!!!

Journal Entry: Fri Jun 13, 2008, 10:54 PM
Unlike most college or "university" folks, as they like to call themselves, I don't have a long summer break...BUT WHO CARES!!!
It's summer and now I have all the time in the world to go see movies.
I am sick and tired of sitting infront of a computer and doing computerythings that I just want to get away from it all and relax....whoo I just burped, how smexy of me XD
Anywho, I get to go home in two weeks and God knows I miss the beach and clear sky. Honestly it scares me sometimes when I see a weird hazy smog hovering over Dallas. But maybe if I'm lucky I can go visit the many museums that inhabit downtown. I've been so caught up in work that I forgot the JFK memorial was here; that and the Holocaust museum. Yes I'm a nerd for museums (: The last time I went to the DMA I had so many security guards get after me because I spent too much time gawking at one piece, and because of that I had one person follow me throughout my stay. Alas all my gawking caused me to only see half of the museum. O well...
I think I'll start off my movie watching barrage with The Fifth Element; very good movie if I say so (:

Early Morning Dallas

Journal Entry: Sun May 18, 2008, 2:12 AM
Now that I have my car back, I have once again fallen into my bad habit of cruising until four in the morning. This time my little joy riding had me fall upon a car engulfed by flames. The only available camera was my phone so until I can find a usb cord for the thing, I can't upload the picture. Sorry...
Man I smell like burnt rubber, no take my advice it's not a pleasant scent to have. Regardless of smell, I couldn't help myself so I took the closest U turn and passed the accident again. Boy did it not take long for the fire to reach the gas tank; sounded like a firecracker really.
Ah Dallas mornings, wouldn't miss them for the world (:
